Thank you for your support of the 18th Annual “Make a Difference” Golf Tournament benefiting the United Way of Greater Nashville on October 4 to 5, 2023. Listed below are FAQs that will assist you with tournament questions. We encourage you to register online as soon as possible. THIS MUST BE MADE BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2023.

Q: How do I submit my sponsorship payment?

A: Please download and complete the Sponsorship Form CC Authorization Form to submit your sponsorship payment. This includes both checks and credit card payments. The form should be mailed or faxed to golf@genesco.com or  “Make a Difference” Charity Golf Tournament Attn: Pam Spodarek / 535 Marriott Drive 12th floor, Nashville, TN 37214    

Q: Who do I write my check to?

A: All checks should be written to the United Way of Greater Nashville.

Q: Where do I mail my sponsorship check?

Please write your check to the United Way of Greater Nashville and mail to: “Make a Difference” Charity Golf Tournament Attn: Pam Spodarek / 535 Marriott Drive 12th floor, Nashville, TN 37214

Q: Can I send my payment by a wire transfer to the United Way of Greater Nashville?

A:  Yes, If you would like to pay by wire transfer to United Way of Greater Nashville, click here for the details. Please do not send wire transfers to Genesco.

Q:  How do I obtain a W-9 for the United Way of Greater Nashville for my internal accounting purposes?

A: Click here to download the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville’s W-9.

Q: Will I receive an invoice or receipt for expense report purposes?

A: Yes, an invoice will be sent by request and every sponsor will receive a receipt from the United Way.

Q: Can I purchase tickets only to play golf?

A: No, due to the tournament’s continued success, the event sells out each year. All golf spots are sold through a sponsorship package. We have sold out every year for the past 10 years, and will honor first come, first serve sponsors.

Q: Where is the hotel block?

A: Downtown Nashville is mostly sold out that week so please make your hotel reservations soon. There is a room block at The Sonesta Nashville with a special rate starting at $199. To make your reservation, call 1-615-889-9300 and reference “United Way Golf / Genesco” when booking. The hotel is down the street from Genesco's new corporate headquarters. 

Q: What are the details about the dinner on October 4?

A:  Genesco will host a special dinner for all of our sponsors the evening before the tournament on Wednesday October 4, 2023. We will be back at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Cocktails are at 6:00 p.m. and dinner, remarks and entertainment will follow at 7:15 p.m. The golf registration desk also will be open during cocktails. We need all RSVPs for the dinner by Friday, September 8, 2023. 

Q:  How do I submit my logo?

A: Please upload your high-res JPEG format logo to Sharefile as soon as possible. This must be made by no later than Friday, September 8, 2023. Please include your company’s name in the file name. This is a quick and easy way to submit your company’s logo. If you have any questions, please email pspodarek@genesco.com.

General Information:

Golf Information: If you are planning to golf, we need to hear from you as soon as possible. The tournament will be a sellout. Please submit your players’ names via the registration form by Friday, September 8, 2023. As always, we want to make sure our list matches up with players’ expectations.

Golf Club Rental: Club rental is available at a fee of $55.00 plus tax, per rental set. Each set includes one sleeve of balls, and Taylor Made clubs for both men and women. When reserving, please indicate whether this is for women’s right- or left-handed clubs, or men’s right- or left-handed clubs. A RESERVATION MUST BE MADE BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2023 by requesting on your registration form. Individuals will be responsible for club rental expenses, which can be paid at the Pro Shop on the day of the event.

Dress Code for Dinner and Golf: Suggested dress for the dinner is sporty business casual, such as khakis and polos. Required dress code for the golf tournament, per the golf club, is to be recognized by all players. Shorts are permitted in the Bermuda length only. No denim of any sort is permitted. In addition, no t-shirts, tank tops, cut offs, sweat pants, bathing suits, or athletic shorts are permitted. Gaylord Springs Golf Links has a soft spikes only policy.
